Petroleum Enforcement Authorities
East Sussex County Council and Brighton & Hove City Council are the Petroleum Enforcement Authorities (PEA’s) for the Petroleum (Consolidation) Regulations 2014 in their respective geographical areas, and from 1st April 2018, will also directly regulate petroleum activities under Petroleum and Health & Safety legislation.
On 1st April 2018, East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service will cease to regulate these activities on behalf of the PEA; with future certification, inspection and any other matters related to the storage and dispensing of petroleum being dealt with directly by either:

Therefore, from the 1st April 2018, all matters relating to petroleum or related regulations, including the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations, should be raised directly with the PEA for the area in which your site is operating
