For schools and facilitators
East Sussex Fire & Rescue is proud to introduce GoDrive, a cutting-edge road safety intervention designed for pre-learners, learners, and newly qualified drivers. Developed using behavioural science and a trauma-informed approach, GoDrive empowers young drivers to take control of their safety on the road - moving away from fear-based tactics and focusing on long-lasting positive behaviour change.
Why GoDrive?
Research shows that new drivers who feel empowered to make safe choices are more likely to maintain those habits for life.
GoDrive provides an impactful experience that fits easily into a one-hour session, creating open discussions and peer collaboration. Facilitators guide participants through interactive activities that challenge perceptions, build awareness, and promote a deeper understanding of road safety.
Key benefits:
- quick and effective: GoDrive integrates seamlessly into a one-hour session, making it easy to implement in schools or community groups
- aligned with the Key Stage 5 PSHE curriculum: fully mapped to important curriculum points, including H1, H14, H15, H16, and more, ensuring that time spent on this program supports your educational goals
- facilitator friendly: with facilitator notes, a dynamic film, and easy access to resources, leading a session is straightforward and impactful
